To find inspiration as to how the events will be posted to my app I am researching into apps which successfully show events in your area and how these are advertised.
Eventbrite is a successful app which advertises events near you, personalised events recommended for you and events which social media friends are attending, you are able to view where the events are located on Maps and buy tickets through the app.
Organisations are able to easily post an event to Eventbrite, market it through social media and email, download tickets to scan, and track instant progress. The app states that it is free to post free events to the site however will take a small fee from paid events. Not all of their events featured are big events they can range from meetings, birthdays, office party, charity events etc. where you can invite people and track the RSVP’s to music events, conferences, festivals, theatre productions etc. where people are able to buy and download their tickets to scan at the entrance.
